Meet Steve
Steve Murray, PGDip, has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He completed an NVQ Level 3 in Heritage Craft Skills in 2008 and has recently earned a Postgraduate Degree in Conservation and Adaptation, accredited by IHBC and RICS, at the University of Central Lancashire.
Steve’s passion is ensuring that traditional buildings remain in use and
are cared for to the highest possible standard—both today and for future
generations.
He is an expert in lime mortar finishes and is academically qualified to:
· survey historic buildings
· advise on listed building consent
· produce repair schedules
· write Heritage Impact Statements
· prepare Statements of Significance
· project manage historical assets
His blend of hands‑on experience and formal conservation training enables him to approach historic building care with technical precision and deep respect for traditional craftsmanship.
